Artist Statement When I was eight years old I saw a documentary on burlesque dancer's life. Josephine Baker was included in the documentary. I felt an instant connection to it especially the artist modeling. I thought it was beautiful artwork. I did not know what it meant.
Because of society and my family values I hid this fascination for many years. I became an accountant settled striving for that career.
But my desire to do this work never left me. Often while I was working I would imagine various images of curvy women in burlesque costumes and tasteful body shots combined in colorful art and textures.
Last year I was laidoff. I took a hunch and brought some digital photography software. I become engrossed creating digital arts.
My boyfriend a professional photography took the pictures. I told the models how to pose then I started creating photo into art.
I am buiding my collection and continuing this amazing journey.
