Description Original 16x20 oil on canvase. Portrait of a Klamath Indian girl in Sprague River, Oregon. She was to be a model for a greeting card illustration of birds in a cage. She only wanted to hold our young turkey 'Vincent'. So While doing the work-up for the card, I did one for this paiting as well.
Vincent Bode, Sacramento, California Member Since February 2007 Artist Statement I have been described by some as a "Border Violator". I paint and draw out of the lines. See my web site: vincentbode.com
I recently retired from the Klamath Falls City School District, in Oregon. I am also a retired FAA Air Traffic Controller, where I spent 16 years in the San Francisco Bay Area. I and my wife of 45 years, have down sized by selling off our 5 bedroom home in Klamath Falls, getting rid of over half of our stuff and moving to Sacramento. We now live in a 1978 "retro" Mobile Home, in a nice Mobile Home Park, near Rancho Cordova. It has taken me 3 years to make this move and I am finally ready mentally and financially to be that full time artist.
I draw every day, and try to paint everyday. Soon I will start a daily ArtBlog. My favorite sports are swimming and biking.
I accept fine art commissions, as well as commercial illustrations.
