Luci Kelly, Salt Lake City, Utah Member Since September 2007 Artist Statement Really I just like to put pretty colors together.
My husband says that I see naked people everyway but the truth is I see everything in everything else. The earth is a living interconnected entity.
I‘ve come to this a little late in life but right now I find that I can't sit without drawing, (I've done some of my favorite sketches in the ‘margins of agendas and on restaurant placemats),
I want my pictures to engage people.
My influences, Rodin bodies, Weston’s simplicity of form, luscious renaissance painting like Rafael and Brueghel, Michelangelo’s sensuality and the interactive Hidden Pictures in Boy’s Life Magazine.
Really I believe I can find influence and inspiration where ever I am. I could draw and color until the moment I die and would not be able to get everything I want to see on paper.
I have had other lives as Lucie Seymour, Luci Seymour and Luci O'Neal.
Words to describe my work.. I don't know maybe
