Artist Statement Painting has always been a consistent and personal support for me during the entirety of my life. Starting from the early age of only 10 years old, painting was an important practice that I found myself restlessly lost in. It enabled me to express my emotions, ideals and beliefs wholeheartedly on a canvas while also allowing me to singlehandedly fashion visual representations of the passions and artistic compulsions I felt like sharing in any given moment. I use painting as a conduit to transmute what can only be found within oneself, that no words could describe and to allow those feels to infuse itself through the paint. What results is nothing short of complete, personal artistic ingenuity that I am now willing to share with you in hopes that you might also discover something wondrous and satisfying in my work.
While painting was such a gratifying and vital aspect of my life, I knew I desperately wanted to become a real painter and pursue a career as a professional artist. The adversity that I have faced during the course of my life has only served to increase my resilience, making me a smarter, stronger person. It has also served to considerably expand my connection to spirituality and to source (god). It is my belief that every experience is only another stepping stone to teach you an important lesson and to get you that much closer to your goals. Your passions will always break you through any obstacle or barrier that may be holding you back as long as you are true to yourself and at peace in your own heart regarding any relevant subject matter. I have somehow been brought back to my greatest love of painting and artistry, and can only attribute this deeply desired transition to this one much higher power.
With this, I’d like to say thank you to God for the inspiration that allows me to pick up a paintbrush and manifest the feelings I experience into artwork, and to all of my audience and fans that support me with their generous compliments that keep me going with the knowledge that my work is being felt positively throughout the world.
