Artist Statement My name is Maria Gonzalez. I have been drawing ever since I can remember but it wasn't until 10th grade when I took my first art class that I knew this is what I would always do.

I get inspiration from everywhere. Nature, books, music, movies and other artists but my greatest inspiration is my daughter. I don't really follow any rules. I am pretty much self-taught and have learned through trial and error. I am still learning. I draw what I'm feeling and my paintings are a result of things I have been through in life, dreams I have had and worlds I have made up to escape reality.
