Description Daventry is a small town in central England where I grew up. As it's a subject I am familiar with I enjoy painting it and including local characters and shops I remember from the past. Alf the mayor is sitting on the steps of the Burton Memorial, the Holy Cross church is on the left and the old BBC club to the right.The original painting is 5ft x 3ft and hangs in the restaurant of the local hospital.
