Artist Statement Creative since birth, I am an artist by hobby-student by day. Unable to spend as much time as I would like on art because of the excessive time I must spend working on my architecture major, I have a passion for seeing the world with a different perspective. I believe you should add a little color, look at it upside down, edit your world and make it more interesting.

My artwork comes in variety of subjects, mediums, and inspirations. I have many photographs from a recent (and most memorable) trip to Italy, and I also participate in what I like to call "active photography," where I physically manipulate a scene to photograph. For example, one of my favorite things is to add acrylic paint to object such as food, antiques, or natural settings. The bright color pop against the otherwise "normal" photograph. I also create acrylic paintings on canvas; these are most often done as a class or for a specific buyer. My favorite medium for creating art is pencil color because I can create the most realistic drawings with it. I have pencil color creations that include animals and buildings.

I like to create whatever inspires me; the best art comes at a moment's notice. You just drop everything, and create.
