Artist Statement The paintings that I create are meant to inspire and uplift, as well as enhance your interiors. I believe that our homes should be sanctuaries that surrounds us with comfort, color, beauty and the things we love. If you feel an emotional connection to a work, or you just LOVE the colors and the art makes you feel good, then I've accomplished what I set out to do. Hopefully you'll treat yourself to it! Or maybe you're considering this artwork for a special gift. What you're really investing in is what makes you or the recipient feel good. So, if you love it or you think they're going to love it -- follow your instinct and buy it!
I like to use vivid, bright colors. Warm against cool tones. Rich colors against muted hues. Heavy texture utilizing a palette knife. Always look forward to those successful mistakes I work quickly and vigorously. I work dynamically, but as part of my working method, after a few days I bring out the picture again to emphasize/highlight certain details.
These paintings our rich in texture and tropical colors. The paintings were created with acrylic paint with the use of a palette knife. The 16"x20" paintings are on stretched canvas, with wood frame backing. Sides are painted white and ready to be hung. The 3x4 foot paintings are un-stretched. Both sizes have two final coats of high gloss varnish.
