Artist Statement Geoff 'Speed' Smith started life on a rural property in mallee scrub at Grass Patch, inland from the coastal town of Esperance, Western Australia. He is now based and working under the name Speedline Art from a home studio overlooking the ocean and Esperance coastline.
Mostly self taught, he has been focusing on and creating his art for the past 20 years drawing on his rural background, plus a love of the ocean, marine life and coastal environment to produce a variety of work featuring coastal and rustic rural themes using acrylics, oils and inks.
Over the years his work has been reproduced on cards, posters, t-shirts and marketed Australia wide.
