Artist Statement KaTisha Smittick, a retired Staff Sergeant US Army soldier, works as a freelance photographer in the Washington D.C. area. She is known to travel all over the world to seek out new and exciting subjects to capture and share with her audience. KaTisha thrives by being in the middle of all the chaos of the world as she photographs a wide variety of charity venues, events, and shows. Her work has been published online and in print and has been featured and clients websites and in promotional materials. Her outlook on being a photographer is all summed up in a personal quote of hers, “Dedication to what you believe in just isn’t enough but living in it will show you what you are made of.
