Artist Statement Krista Schumacher is an oil painter who currently resides in Northwest Florida. Schumacher was awarded Southwest Art Magazine’s top 21 artists in the world under the age of 31.

She has developed a unique alla prima, contemporary impressionist style. Her subjects range from animals to people to abstract creations. Bold colors, loose brush strokes, and vibrant emotion are infused in each of her pieces.

As an artist, Schumacher is determined to follow her creative spirit and capture the world around her with a paintbrush. She paints custom commissions, sells original pieces, and works as a freelance artist and educator.

Schumacher attended the University of Florida for her Bachelor’s degree and is currently a graduate student in the School of Art + Art History.
