Artist Statement I am an award winning artist in northern Illinios. I enjoy painting landscapes, and portraits. My work is inspired by my travels. I take photos as I travel and return to paint my impression of them on my canvas. Art has always been a part of my world. I first starting painting at my fathers side and then went on to study with accomplished artists. I have studied at serveral higher education insitutions to broaden my technique. Art is an important part of my home life, both of my sons are painters also. My oldest son is an award winning painter and fine arts instructor. My seven year old grandson has also voiced his interest in painting and does quite well. My works are in different techniques and mediums.
