Artist Statement I have lived in Seattle, Washington since 1970, with my husband, who is also a painter. I grew up in Chicago and hence my love of the urban --its shapes, colors, people and critters. I paint in watercolor and acrylic, as well as doing monotypes and monoprints. Drawing is also a passion. I am a Signature Member of the National Watercolor Society and the Northwest Watercolor Society, and several of my recent paintings have won prizes in juried shows. I have participated in group and solo shows of my work. I am also experimenting with digital art. I have been producing paintings using my iPad for the past few years as well.

My work is expressionistic and by not supplying every minute detail, the viewer is a participant in the process.
