Artist Statement "Hello there!
I’m a photographer from Seekonk, Massachusetts who drinks Guinness like pro and coffee like water. I started out at Cazenovia College in upstate New York pursuing a degree in Equine Business Studies in hopes of being a Equine Photographer. Those plans were soon diverted by 7 months of dead, bitter winter and the realization that any entertainment was miles and miles away. So I finished out my photography degree closer to home at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth where I got a chance to really develop my interests and skills as well as my dependence on caffeine.
Since graduation, I’ve taken a full time photo-editing job for a large company in Northern RI. The relative monotony in a cubicle motivates me to chase adventures and try to find new ways to challenge myself outside of work. Photographing everyday life has become more of memory keepsake for me. I really strive to capture the in-between moments that you thought you’d miss, and ones you'd kill to hold onto. I would do anything to go back in time to attend Woodstock '69, so for now my life goal is to be at every music festival I can. I've been riding horses for 16 years and have ridden Hunt Seat mostly and dabbled with Western, Dressage and Polo. Whether it’s a local horse show, a friend’s wedding, a friend of a friend’s wedding, or a music gig that I ended up at on a Tuesday night , I just like snapping until my hand gets sore. Fashion is a growing and ever changing passion of mine, I have more fun dressing up than a beauty queen. Some say I resemble Zooey Deschanel!
When you get down to the core of me it’s pretty simple. Fashion blogs are my bible, horses’ my therapy, and travel is my peace of mind.
