Artist Statement Steve is a Colorado photographer who has traveled around the world, has been to more than 75 countries and has been on every continent looking for memorable images and memorable moments.

Steve has also been involved in non-profit projects around the world and has worked in Kolkata (Calcutta), in the slums of Manila, in villages and hospitals in Latin America, in the Navajo Nation and throughout Africa. His work has focused on education and water projects.

Steve's photos have won numerous awards. In 2009, his photo of schoolboys in Kenya (he had just delivered hundreds of books to their school) won the “Photo of the Year” award in "The Rotarian" magazine. He has had two Top 10 Finishes in the People's Choice "World in Focus" International Competition and was a National Geographic Traveler Top 10 finisher in 2010. His photo of “Penguins in the Snow” from the Antarctic was used by National Geographic internationally in their digital magazine in 2018. He was highlighted as a Photographer of the Year in 2019 in “Black and White” Magazine and was invited to show in exhibitions in London, Lisbon, Stockholm and Milan in 2020.
