Artist Statement Ratko Lalić was born in Dolipolje, near Visoko (Bosnia and Herzegovina) in 1944. He completed his B.A. and M.A. studies at the Academy/Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 1975. at the Department of Painting with Professor Stojan Ćelić. He was at the position of Full Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo when the war started. He left the city in 1992 and all his work remained in his studio. In the period 1992-1994 he was Full Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts at Cetinje (Montenegro). Till his retirement he was Full Professor of painting and drawing at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade and the Academy of Fine Arts in Banja Luka. He is a member of the Association of Visual Artists of Serbia.
