Description 15x11 Watercolor; St. Paul was the tallest building in London from 1710 to 1967. The dome is among the highest in the world. Its design combined Neoclassical, Gothic, and Baroque elements in an attempt to symbolize the ideals of both the English Restoration and 17th-century scientific philosophy. Its famous dome is composed of three shells: an outer dome, a concealed brick cone for structural support, and an inner dome. St Paul's Cathedral is a working church. It continues today, with some of the highest profile weddings and funerals held here. One of them was the wedding of Charles and Diana.
