Description This was my first Ojibwe or Woodlands style painting. A bald eagle soars with a sunset background behind. Within his body are the things that are most important to him, forests and open sky. This painting is to serve as a reminder for us to protect natural spaces not only for the animals, but for ourselves as well.
Donna Brinkworth, Edmonton Member Since July 2010 Artist Statement I am an Ojibwe aboriginal or Native Canadian artist based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Having grown up in northern Canada, much of my artwork has a theme featuring animals found in Canada. My art style is of the Woodlands style, which features energy or spirit lines around or within animals or objects in nature. I am a self-taught artist and enjoy sharing my artwork with the world, and hope that my artwork inspires you to appreciate nature as well.
