Artist Statement Hello there! My name is Shane McMurphy and I fancy myself a bit of a photographer. I use my camera to explore people and what people do... be it street photography or what people create or destroy. I did not study photography in college, I studied history. However, in my studies I discovered that people and the choices, conflicts, and creations tend to dictate how people act. I use my camera to try and show this. Sometimes I take pictures of ruined building or people shopping at a local street fair, these all show people and are a window into ourselvs. Hope you like my pictures and even purchase a few.
