Larry Hunter, Penticton Member Since December 2013 Artist Statement I am a child of the 1950's and 60's, a time when the future looked so bright and style foretold of wonderful things to come. Design was everywhere in the Mid-Century era. The post-war exuberance could barely keep pace with designer's imaginations. Be it architecture, industrial design, fashion, automobiles or the art world, optimism reigned supreme despite cultural turmoil in the real world. I have always been a fan of the commercial and industrial arts, much of which in my opinion exceeded anything that the Fine Art world could create. Concept art and architectural renderings are a part of my everyday business as an illustrator and that style is reflected in much of my work. I like to put a bit of Mid-Century Modern into everything I do.
