Artist Statement Emerging Photographer and Photoshop Artist from Toronto, Canada.

I shoot what I find to be beautiful; whether it be landscapes, abstracts, portraits, etc...My work is less reason than result. I feel that almost any subject can be made beautiful under the right lighting and exposure, but try and show frames that reflect a careful selection of both.

Composition is of the utmost importance in my images. The balance of subjects to objects, light to shadow, and contrasting colors are elements that I consciously and unconsciously balance within a frame.

I exaggerate color in my images through the use of Adobe Photoshop software. The results I achieve with this amazing tool would normally be impossible to control with conventional darkroom techniques. My purpose for its use is simply to make an image more interesting and visually intriguing.

I have been heavily influenced by many photographers, including my mother and father who are both talented professionals who have a combined 60+ years of photographic experience. The artistic movements of impressionism, expressionism, realism, renaissance, art nouveau, art deco, and symbolism also influence my work.
