Artist Statement Somewhere between the form of sculpting and the flow of painting exists a realm where Brian's creations come to life. To call them merely paintings would be an inaccurate assessment from the senses. Standing before Brian's original work, one does not only look with the eyes, but also touches with the fingers and feels with the soul.

From the age of five, vivid dreams and subtle emotions fueled the call for this self-taught artist to create textured beauty on the walls of his childhood home in Michigan. Stricken with serious illness in his late teens, Brian coped with his pain by focusing on his craft. This included experimenting with dimensions by adding raised mediums to flat surfaces.

My work produces different effects depending upon the placement of light and the location of the viewer. At first glance, the work as a whole will reach out to you, and upon further study the textures seem to rise off the canvas, imploring you to touch them.

Although the prints that are being offered are not accompanied by the very peaks and valleys of texture the original paintings have, they continue to engage the senses.As an artist, it bring me immense joy to see so many individuals attracted to my pieces on both an emotional and physical level, and for this I am very grateful.
