Artist Statement Greetings. I'm glad you stopped by. I may never meet you, but at least we have this medium in which we can share a bit of our selves and what we do. What do I do? I consider myself an artist. I don't stick to a particular medium, though professionally I am a filmmaker: cinematographer and editor. I teach Advertising and Public Relations courses at Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan as well as Communications and Media courses at Muskegon Community College.

I grew up on Lake Michigan, well... next to it, not on it. Something about the endless horizon lent itself to me being a dreamer: what is on the other side? I could create that in my mind. I am left eye-dominant and right handed. I mention that because most people are right eye dominant. I think this means I see the world using mainly the right hemisphere of my brain: the creative side. I tend to do things non-linearly; I might have a plan for my week with things I have to do, but the rest is generally a stream of actions and reactions that, of course, I have no plan for. I have the choice and I'll make it then when the time comes. I'm glad you made the choice to stop by. I really appreciate it and I hope some of the images you see here or the links you pass along to from my page to others add meaning and value to your journey.

Thanks again. Enjoy.
