Description Always finish what you start. This is the lesson this gnome learned. She drank a potion of eternal youth, but neglected the last drop. Thus, she will live forever, but half of her will age forever, while the other half remains forever young. Thus, she has developed a morbid assortment of accessories, such as the skulls as shoulder guards and the living hat. Not to mention the knife. Side note: the snakes eating one another in a circle is a mythical symbol of eternity. Blingo!
Derek Leiss, Tempe/Pheonix Member Since November 2007 Artist Statement Aloha, fellow children of the stars! I'm very glad of this opportunity to share my work with you all! I love traveling, experience the surreal, and delving into the mysteries of the cosmos. Besides that, I try to lead a simple enough life, and yearn above all else for humanity to become more connected to the world as a whole and to the light and love eternal throughout. Nothing reaches my heart more than being immersed in the gentle caress of the calm crystalline air of the wilderness, surrounded by life unbound and teeming with mystery... I practice Capoeira, enjoy playing music, and I'm working on some children's books and adult novels dealing with the power of imagination and the evolution of dreams. My art is an extension of my experiences, and I truly wish to make an impact in helping others expand their minds and grow into higher being. May you Walk in Beauty!
