Kirty Bell Member Since January 2017 Artist Statement Australian Pop Impressionist oil painter Kirty Bell was born in Deniliquin and grew up creating art in Albury before moving to the tropical rainforest above Cairns. Self taught she has always drawn or painted for as long as she can recall encouraged by many other artistic relatives including her mother.
Kirty currently paints on the road in her mobile studio and still somehow manages to produce amazingly detailed and beautifully deep work. Her implied narrative style is inspired by the world in which we are all immersed and often touches on political and environmental themes. Kirty's use of animals throughout her art play an important role in deciphering the meaning behind each work as they are always used symbolically.
Kirty has previously been represented by and exhibited at Hollloway Gallery on the Sunshine Coast as well as participated in International group exhibitions and been a finalist in the Lethbridge 10,000.
