Artist Statement He was born in 1946 in Tehran, Iran
SYMA started painting as a young man, but due to many challenges of his life at that time, he gave up painting and got involve in other activities which had nothing to do with art. Almost 35 years later at the age of 63 he started to paint again and created some unique and spectacular works.
He paints in his own style and uses different tools and materials to create his works. It is hard to categorize his paintings under a specific style but you might be able to call some of his works Abstract, but for the most famous ones, we use to call them SYMA style since there is nothing like them anywhere else.
