Artist Statement I’m a self-taught artist living in the woods of the Missouri Ozarks. I share my life with my two best friends, KaiCee and Cooper, both Weimaraners. I work from my own photos and experiences. Many of my pieces take a close up view of my subject and others just like to show a kinder gentler side or a side not often paid attention to. I love detail and the challenge to show it, especially eyes.

Each piece consists of many, many layers of colored pencil painstakingly applied over a very light watercolor underpainting on hot press watercolor paper. Therefore, prints of my works would be best on smooth papers.
