Artist Statement Believe it or not, by day I am a senior nuclear engineer and environmental protection expert for the Federal government and by night I am an artist. That’s right I, can use both sides of my brain! I am always ALWAYS doing something and I am often told that I have “too much energy”... whatever the eff that means, I don’t know. Even as a kid I have always channeled my energy into creative endeavors- which is why my parents named me TheProjectsLady.

For most of my life I have worked in the fiber arts. I am a seriously kick @ss quilter- I have won numerous blue ribbons and “best in color” awards for my quilts. But then I decided to have kids and the little monsters sucked up all my crafty time! That is until I discovered that, yes can I sew, but I can draw and paint! Then a local artist introduced me to Procreate, and BOOM! TheProjectsLady is back in business.

My unique digital images are playful, bright, modern and always fun! I hand draw and paint my work, then I photograph and digitally refine them. I also create some of my work exclusively using digital painting and inking techniques. You’ll find my work is filled with all of my favorite things- flowers, books, coffee, and cats! I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it!
