Artist Statement I'm a bit inhibited when it comes to writing my own profile. I just love the process of creating pictures - it stems from an education in graphic art and my profession as a stylist. My photos are driven by a desire to depict the inherent beauty in the seemingly mundane. I use the camera as a tool for transforming a casual observation into a memorable treasure. Image manipulation helps to illustrate how I experienced a particular scene when I pressed the shutter and to enhance detail that the lens may have missed. I like to give the photos something personal and when I am adjusting an image, it has the same creative effect on me as painting.


Photography for me is a form of meditation ~ being in the moment slows the world down and I can get into the gap. I like to think that through my shots its possible that the viewer can also be drawn into blissful contemplation. This would be a good reason to own one.
