Description Blathnat (pronounced BLAW-not; rhymes with claw dot) and her sister Bri were the princess daughters of Midhir, the fairy king of Br Lith and second cousin to Plur na mBan. Both flower fairies, Blathnat means little flower and Plur na mBan means woman of flowers. In this portrait, Blathnats skirt is an inverted tulip, her vest is woven pansies, and her body suit is made from the leaves of the weeping willow trees that border her castle in Bri Leith.

Artist Statement Artist, photographer, and graphic designer for 25+ years, Sartia has degrees in art photography, computer graphics, commercial art, and graphic design. She also has degrees in photojournalism and creative writing.

As a freelance designer, she has created thousands of book covers, brochures, advertising posters, logos, banners, and magazine ads. As an artist, she has been represented in over 100 art shows and galleries along the east coast and, when she lived in NC, she was a member of the Carolina Craftsmen artists organization.

Sartia has several published books that display her artwork and several other books under one of her many pseudonyms, which she uses frequently to protect her privacy. Her limited edition works decorate the halls and walls of many universities, office buildings, and galleries worldwide. The only clue to her many works (and many pseudonyms) is they all use some form of the name Jules.
