Artist Statement I've been doing photography on and off for most of my life. I've done quite a bit of photography of friends, family and trips. Like most folks do. But I find that as time goes on, I am drawn more and more to photograph the natural world. There is so much beauty there.
My first camera was a black and white 35 mm job that I built from a kit somewhere around 30 years ago. It had serious limitations, but I still had fun with it.
For quite a few years, I used a Nikkon One Touch. It took very nice images, but was completely automatic. Which was convenient for many situations. But it meant that there was no way to make it take some of the photos that I really wanted to take.
I am currently shooting with a Canon Digital Rebel XSI.
