Description FALL VIEW AT TWIN LAKES by Lynn Bauer - A scenic view up Lower Twin Lake in the Mammoth Lakes Basin. There is a small parking lot as you enter the Mammoth Lakes Basin, right at the end of the Lower Twin Lake. This was my view. I loved that someone had parked their canoe at this spot, giving me the perfect photographic opportunity! The bright red color of the canoe gives this autumn scene the perfect 'pop!' The leaves are just beginning to turn, and the storm clouds of an 'El Nino' season can be seen hanging over the lake. Fall is definitely in the air!!Mammoth Lakes is a beautiful town found off of California's Highway 395 between the towns of Bishop and Bridgeport. It is well known as one of California's premier winter playgrounds...but, it is absolutely gorgeous in every season!
