Description Feeding Flamingo In Abstract is an art print I created using a technique where I drew the outline of the flamingo and filled it with splashes of color using an impasto look which creates strong brush strokes with depth. The inspiration behind this print came from the flamingo exhibit at the Los Angeles Zoo. When considering an art print, the interior design of the room comes into play and the look you are going for with any given print comes into the decision process. This particular style of art print works well in almost any room dcor where you are looking for a bright accent of color. However, an influencing factor is the framing and matting style, which can dictate what dcor the final piece will look good in versus just the style of the art print.Follow my work:TheWallGallery: https://thewallgallery.comBlog: http://thewallgalleryblog.wordpress.com/Twitter: https://twitter.com/KirtWallGalleryFacebook:https://www.facebook.com/TheWallGallery.KirtTisdaleCopyright 2017 Kirt Tisdale/TheWallGallery.com
Kirt Tisdale, Sherman Oaks Member Since February 2013 Artist Statement I have been creating art since I can remember. I have been blessed with having my work featured in various venues. What drives me is the beauty in the world with which we live. I remember as a kid looking up at the clouds and watching them change shape...if they could only stay in one shape long enough for me to enjoy and appreciate them....but that's not how it works. What I can do though is take a moment and freeze it. The beauty around us needs to be savored, contemplated and appreciated. Good art invokes an emotional response either through the scene depicted or the colors used. I hope my work invokes the same in you.
