Americo ., Laguna Niguel Member Since October 2014 Artist Statement Americo Bianchi was born in Amaseno, Italy and studied art at The School of the Art Institute, Chicago where he received a Master of Fine Arts degree. His background includes creating award winning video and film productions as well as art films structured as "visual music". Some of his current work uses still images from those films as a starting point. This work is based on the Buddhist concept of aniccia (change or impermanence), which according to Buddhist teachings is one of the three characteristics of animate and inanimate matter. Another current area of exploration is grasses and other elements of nature that exhibit what Elizabeth Gilbert calls the "signature of all things".
