Artist Statement in 1960, I started my first year of college as a photography major. During that year, I did some pretty good work. The folks at Art Center College of Design briefly took interest in my work, and were kind enough to critique my portfolio. I changed my major to Psychology, but tried my hand at nudes the next year, anyway. I found that I had lost the creative spark. So, I dropped out of photography for the next 50 years. 3 months ago, I contacted a good friend from those early days, and he got me involved in pinhole photography. I had always thought that pinhole photography was a waste of time, but over the past 50 years, it has developed into an important area of photographic endeavor. Much to my surprise, I found that I was once again producing adequate work.
