Description It is a big city and I had less than a day to spend there. I arrived early in the morning, overnighting a train from Nice to Paris via Marsailles. With such a small amount of time with which to explore I decided to start with the Eiffel Tower. I knew the general direction and started walking. The winding, narrow streets are flanked by tall buildings, and when amongst them you cannot see the skyline, or even, at times, the next block. I had no idea how close I was to the tower, or if after all the twists and turns I was still heading in the right direction. But I turned a corner and there it was. So I took a picture.
Jim Moore Member Since February 2011 Artist Statement Photography has been a hobby of mine since high school. My dad and grandfather were both photographers, so I guess it was inevitable for me to pick it up.
I like to shoot ships, trains, cars, planes. And scenery. Mountains, lakes, rivers. Buildings. I don't have the patience for people and animals. So, mostly inanimate things.
