Artist Statement My artwork has always reflected my love of nature. During the time I spent paddling in the boundry waters, hiking along the North Shore or hunting in the woods, my senses have been turned to the beauty of Northern Minnesota. In both my watercolor paintings and in my drawings I rarel use photography for reference. I will sometimes look at the shape of a leaf or the turn of a branch. but my art is created from memories and feelings from my time out of doors. I believe my work is an interpretation of nature that is meant to illicit feelings more than to offer the viewer a relistic rendition.
