Artist Statement Born on the East Coast, I traveled all over the United States and thought every place I visited had its own unique character and charm. I went to Radford University and everyone told me to study what I was passionate about, so I took several classes in the arts, which I hoped would someday be a part of my future creativity. Recently, I moved from Arizona to Oregon and found myself searching for art that I was passionate about, and I realized that I needed to again free this creative outlet. I enjoy watching the colors take on a new life as I paint the canvases and create feelings with such simple words and ideas. In my spare time, I enjoy yoga, hiking, travel and of course escaping into a good movie.
