Artist Statement I am a retired graphic designer. I have 40 years of graphic arts experience, working as a Graphic Artist, Art Director, Creative Director, Account Executive for various Advertising Agencies. For the last 17 years, I owned and operated my own Graphic Design company before retiring in January of 2008. Since 1987, I have worked on the Macintosh platform using various programs including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Quark Xpress.

I have an Associate in Applied Science Degree majoring in Industrial Engineering. Various elective courses in Advertising, Marketing, Art, Graphic Arts, Sculpture, Watercolor Painting, and Photography. I have 5 years of education/training in Architectural and Mechanical Drawing winning 1st Place in the Greater Muskegon Industrial Arts Award for Architectural Drawing two consecutive years.

I do watercolor paintings, done relatively “tight” with an technical illustration quality to it. I like painting old farm machinery, farm scenes, classic automobiles, animals, old family photos and old musicians done in black and white, and portraits.
