Description This image is a still from a video through a small IR hand held camera. I couldn't save the 'still' so I photographed its image from the computer's monitor with my 12.1 megapixel still camera.Among these images of (what I guess could be called) orbs. Some has an almost see-through middle with a webby structure to it. Some are a flat transparent blob, and some defy pulling detail out of it. This is one of those. This is a piece of a short video with the same $80 camera. The IR illuminated post is about 30 feet closer to me than where the light is coming through, which is the right side of two open doors at the top of a ladder along that forward bulkhead. The light seems to be at a resolution the rest of the image isn't. Its definitley being emitted and in the video it is dark, it appears, then its dark - only once. I went up there the next day and looked around, there is nothing electrical in or beyond that opening. It is practically crystal clear all the way all the way zoomed in. (see 'forecastle light zoomed in 1-22-2011'.)
Ken Gulley, Oakland, Califoria Member Since October 2008 Artist Statement Artist paintings in oil and acrylic. I do commissions (Mount Suribachi). I also take pictures. Paranormal investigations (who'd a guess'd). Photography. Film (video). Audio (music/score/video). I have done murals in private homes, I have done murals in public (interior spaces). I would be welding if I had the space. Writing, sci-fi, essay, screenplay, novel (when I get the time). Enjoy a good adventure. Open-minded. Pro-space. Pro-peace. I don't have enough lifetimes to do all things I'd like in the various mediums. I have never done lithography, looks like I never will.
