Biography of R.Karas
Watercolor artist

R. Karas is specialized in watercolor street scenes, landscape and
Greeting cards.

His work was featured in book publications and regularly on the
Cover of the Montreal Star Scene Magazine, he has traveled
Extensively throughout Canada, US, Europe, S. America and the
Middle East.

Born in Cairo Egypt, and immigrated in 1968 to the USA then to Canada 1971. He
Received his BFA in 1961 from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cairo. He has been Painting watercolors for the past forty years, with numerous Exhibitions, in Egypt, United States and Canada.

His work can be found in private and public collections in Egypt, France and North America.

Much of his work was featured on the cover of the "Montreal
Star Scene Magazine", recently reproduced as Greeting Cards.
He is an associate member of the American Watercolor Society.
He is painting now full time where he lives in Montreal.
