Description The full moon day (purnima) of the Jyestha (May-June) the deities comes down from the Ratna Vedi for a bath ceremony known as Debasnana Purnima. After their bath at the Snanamandap, the deities are decorated in the shape of elephants. Lord Jagannath and Balabhadra appear as black and white elephants respectively.
