Artist Statement Idle hands lead to many things.

For me? They have always led to a desire to cover pristine paper in intricate swirls and lines. The more intricate the better! (We'll not go into what Freud would say of this).

In time? The challenge became making something concrete out of the abstract and using different techniques and design elements to enhance either a mood or underlying theme.

The new venue of portraits became a favorite way of conveying something seen in the person through the addition of detail. A sub-text to the images, if you will.

I am always looking for more things to draw, more things to see. I hope that you enjoy looking at these pieces of art as much as I enjoy making them.
