Artist Statement I started getting into photography in late 2000. I started with color film, then branched into digital for my color work and stayed with film for the black and white. I travel a good bit and that has given me the opportunity to practice with some incredible landscapes.

I enjoy the color shots but my passion is black and white film. To me, it can be so much more powerful and moving than digital color. It also takes more finesse unless you have an unlimited budget for film and processing, which I unfortunately do not. So I've learned to be very discriminating in the shots I choose and if I get 50% of a roll that I'm proud of, I'm very happy.

I've learned through a lot of practice to allow my creative side out and I hope it shows in my photography. After a number of friends suggested I start sharing my photographs through a site like Imagekind.com, I've finally taken their helpful advice and taken the plunge. I hope you find something in my photographs that speaks to you.
