Linda Marino, Branford, CT Member Since March 2012 Artist Statement Connecticut native, Linda S. Marino has a passion for painting still life, landscapes, figures and animals in oil, acrylics and watercolor with an accent on capturing light, color and expression.
Linda’s professional career began in marketing/graphic design after receiving her BSBA at Western New England University in 1987and in her senior year studied abroad in Florence, Italy with Syracuse University’s Fine Art School. Striving for an “al a carte” art education from various universities and local art schools, led Linda to a position in the education department at the New Britain Museum of American Art in New Britain, CT where her love for art history, the study of contemporary artists and teaching art blossomed. Linda has also taught children’s classes and painting demos in various locations in CT.
Currently, Linda works from her home studio and out on location around Connecticut. Painting plein air is a passion for Linda. Linda is also know for her pet and animal portraits.
Exhibits her work throughout the year in local shows and is a member of three art organizations.
Linda teaches beginner acrylic and oil painting classes.
