Artist Statement "The technique of using a palate knife did not occur by chance. The choice of using this style to express my art can be traced to a particularly difficult time in my life. The death of my father, this was a traumatic event which left a void in my life that has never been completely filled. It was he who encouraged and guided me towards the arts, the first to believe in my artistic potential, my artist talent.

The choice to use enamel and niter is due to the fact that this medium dries almost immediately; this represents a constant challenge for me as I must work quickly and precisely. The technique, however would be an end in itself were it not for the multitude of emotions that reside deep within my soul. Therefore, I have a need to pour these emotions on the canvas as soon as possible. As a result, being able to express these deep inner feelings has become vital to my very existence.

Through my work, I am able to express my state of being. In art you can not bluff, pretend or be ingenuous as it is a part of your personality. As such, it is based on a creed, a philosophy and a style of life that no one can change or take away from you. For yours truly, painting is everything: it is living, it is a dream, it is reality, it is
