Description Corner of Wisconsin Ave. & M. These two were standing not three feet from me on the corner waiting for the light to turn when they really started going at it. The resulting image is much sweeter than the actual spectacle.

Artist Statement District Streets is a photoblog dedicated to capturing the scenes and people that make D.C.’s neighborhoods so interesting.

According to Wikipedia, Washington has over 100 distinct neighborhoods. Anyone who's spent anytime in D.C. knows that they're each unique and intriguing. While we can't make any promises, we want to capture as many of them as possible. From the world-known landmarks, to the hidden corners, and the characters that lurk in each place.

The photographer is Jerry Brito, a lawyer and policy guy who has lived in the D.C. area for almost ten years. He's not a pro, and taking pictures is just his hobby, but he hopes sharing them will make them better.
