Artist Statement I am a freelance photographer based close to Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK.

My photographic passions are flowers, still life and product shots as this allows me to look at the graphic and abstract as well as illustrative qualities of objects.

"I enjoy working with varieties of colour, shape and texture of flowers, looking at how best to capture their spirit. That may be in a bouquet, a single bloom or a macro shot. The use of black and white images gives a graphic feel to a natural subject. I prefer plain backgrounds so that the viewer is really drawn into the beauty of the natural world."
