Artist Statement From a little boy creating intricate comic book characters to an entrepreneur conceptualizing and creating visual solutions for companies, the foundation of Jerome’s artistic journey has always included flexibility and a willingness to learn. As a young artist, Jerome sharpened his skills by working as a cake decorator. The striking compositions and attention to detail in his custom-made cakes made him a valuable asset, and he was quickly promoted to managing and training other employees in this unique art form.

Taking online courses from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, as well as graduating Magna Cum Laude from Delta College of Arts and Technology prepared Jerome for the next stage of his career; as a full-time Graphic Designer for one of the largest worldwide ministries in the United States. There he continues to develop the layout and production design of a nationally distributed magazine as well as create all the visual elements for the ministries’ products.

In 2009, Jerome founded Hueman Complexity, LLC. As the lead designer, Jerome uses his versatile background to provide quality design solutions for his clients. Seeing the end result of his creative process in print brings him a deep sense of satisfaction. “Ever since I was ten years old, I can remember loving paper. I would always keep tablets, sketch books, and printing paper to draw the comic and cartoon characters I created. When I got older, seeing my work printed in full color was an accomplishment. Even now, a piece isn't finished until I see it printed.”
