Artist Statement I am originally from England but have lived in Canada and the United States for most of the last 25 years. Ten years ago I moved to Fairfield Iowa because of my desire to live in a spiritual holistic community. Over four thousand people of the 10,000 people in Fairfield practice meditation.

In 2003 with the advent of decent digital cameras I took up photography again. My philosophy is through the camera to draw people to wonder that is in the world around them. I use themes to drive my work which gives me a focus and a purpose. Some of the main themes I have worked on are Vedic City, urban Fairfield, rural Iowa, and abstract color.

I've had two public shows in Fairfield and working on a third of my Faifield urban images as well as regularly sharing my work on Flckr (flickr.com/guyharvey).

My greatest inspiration is Dylan Harvey, my nine year old son who is a brilliant photographer and the greatest of companions.
